Swinburne University of Technology (Australia)’s Business School has been awarded AACSB International accreditation, a globally-recognised hallmark that is given to only 5 per cent of the world’s schools offering business degrees at the bachelor level or higher.

This accreditation places Swinburne among the highest quality business schools globally. To date, 856 institutions across 56 countries maintain AACSB accreditation.

Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer of AACSB International, Stephanie M. Bryant, says AACSB accreditation recognises institutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning.

“We congratulate Swinburne and the Dean of Swinburne Business School, Professor Keryn Chalmers, on earning accreditation, and applaud the entire Faculty of Business and Law team – including the administration, faculty, staff, and students – for their roles in earning this respected honour.”

Adding to Swinburne Business School achievements

Dean of Swinburne Business School, Professor Keryn Chalmers, has welcomed the announcement from AACSB.

“Achieving AACSB accreditation is a great honour that will allow us to further build on our international reputation. It demonstrates our unwavering commitment and strong teamwork to continually improving everything we do in pursuit of our mission – through our domestic offerings as well as internationally and online,” Professor Chalmers says.

“This accreditation recognises our strong record of success and validates our focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, social impact and external engagement.  We are not only an inclusive, highly-engaged institution, but also one that forges strong connections with industry, government and community across our teaching and research.”
