1. Who is Swinburne Vietnam?

Swinburne Vietnam is an international partnership between Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia) and FPT University (Vietnam). Swinburne Vietnam currently has teaching locations in Hanoi and HCMC.
Swinburne University of Technology is a prestigious university with a history of more than 100 years since its founding and is ranked no. 321 on QS Ranking 2022 world’s best universities. In Vietnam, Swinburne University of Technology has been known for 20 years as a distinguished sponsor for the Road to Olympia’s champions to study in Australia.
FPT University is also one of the few prestigious universities in Vietnam that have achieved international certifications, such as 3-star QS Stars (since 2012) and ACBSP for Business (2019). FPT University currently has its headquarters in Hanoi and campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, and Quy Nhon.
All learning materials, curriculum and teaching, and quality control processes at Swinburne Vietnam are monitored by Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia).
Every member of Swinburne Vietnam’s faculty and experts are involved in the teaching and consulting process for students to meet the international standards of Swinburne University of Technology.
After completing their courses, graduates will be awarded degrees by Swinburne University of Technology in the same manner as those studying in Australia.
Students studying in Vietnam will have the opportunity to benefit from international training programs and rich industry experiences. Students have the opportunity to either complete their program in Vietnam or transfer to Swinburne University, Australia to continue their studies.[/read]
2. What are the requirements of Swinburne Vietnam?

Academic requirements:
- A minimum GPA of 7.0 on the 10-point scale
- Successful completion in interviews
English language requirements:
- Minimum score from one of the following tests: IELTS 6.0 OR equivalent English Language Certificate.
- If you do not meet the minimum requirements of language, you may still be considered for admission based on your result of the interview to complete the required levels in the Global Citizen program before enrolling in the undergraduate course.[/read]

Currently, Swinburne Vietnam offers Bachelor’s degree programs in the following course: Information Technology, Business, and Media and Communication.
Information Technology with 2 majors:

5. How long is the course?

The course is for 3 – 4 years depending on the Global Citizen you take.
The course of study at Swinburne Vietnam is divided into 2 main phases as follows:
Phase I: University preparation
- English language preparation (6 levels) – Each level of 4 months. Students completing level 6 are allowed to enter the main course (Phase II).
- Students are given an English language test and graded by level
- Students with B2 or IELTS 6.0 or equivalent certificates will enter Level 5 and 6, a soft skills training program for students, before entering the Key Program.
Phase II: 9 semesters
Course Major:
- Information Technology (Software Technology, System Management)
- Business (Business Administration, International Business, Digital Marketing)
- Media & Communication (Social Media, Advertising, Public Relations)
Graduates receive a Bachelor’s degree from Swinburne University of Technology (Australia). [/read]
6. What is Swinburne Vietnam’s full course fee?

Tuition for the program includes the Global Citizen Program and Course fees:
The Global Citizen Program: 14,000,000 VND/level (equivalent to 600 USD/level). Two levels will be conducted in one semester. Candidates will take an entrance exam to determine their most appropriate level of study.
Course program: 466,600,000 VND/3-year course (equivalent to 20,000 USD). [/read]
7. Are there scholarships at Swinburne Vietnam? If yes, what are the conditions for receiving scholarships?

This could be for you if you meet the following requirements:
Pioneer Scholarship: 2,000 USD (equivalent to 46 million VND)
- Students with a GPA from 7.5 and above for 11th grade AND the first semester/the whole year of 12th grade (most updated academic result).
- Have a desire to study in an international environment.
- Have a desire to improve their English proficiency to study and work in a global landscape.
Winged Dream Scholarship: 4,000 USD (equivalent to 94 million VND)
- Students with a GPA from 8.0 and above for 11th grade AND the first semester/the whole year of 12th grade.
- Have a desire to study in an international environment.
- Have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or higher.
Talent Scholarship: 6,000 USD (equivalent to 140 million VND)
- Students with a GPA from 8.5 and above for 11th grade AND the first semester/the whole year of 12th grade.
- Have a desire to study in an international environment.
- Have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 7.0 or higher.

10. If my English is not good, can I still succeed at Swinburne Vietnam?

On studying at Swinburne Vietnam, students will be trained to improve their English. First of all, students will be instructed to register and test their English proficiency. The Global Citizen Program has 6 levels. Depending on their proficiency in English, students will enroll in their appropriate levels.
Most students enjoy their experience with the Global Citizen Program. Capable lecturers, scientific teaching methods, and our English-only environment help students improve their English quickly. [/read]
