Chaleur with Utopia club

Opening the series of activities of Utopia Club, they organised an event dedicated to all Vietnamese women named “Chaleur” – a French noun meaning “warmth”. Borrowing “Chaleur” as the name of this event, Utopia wishes to bring warmth from sincerity as well as honoring the beauty of gentle and lovely women. With the message “Women are for love”, this event was also aimed at homeless women and housewives in difficult circumstances – they are the ones who deserve to be cherished and cared for.

On 20th October, Chaleur Project was organized to honor Vietnamese Women’s Day. Despite many difficulties in the process, Utopia has successfully delivered gifts filled with love to the hands of workers and disadvantaged women on the streets of Hanoi. Those gifts include winter items such as socks and gloves. We hope that we shared heart-warming and kind-hearted gifts to spread love to everyone and the surrounding community.

By doing this meaningful activity, our students at Swinburne Vietnam represented clearly actions for SDG 2, more specifically, target 2.1. This supported to end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round.
