1. Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and FPT University Partnership

In 2019, Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and FPT University formed a partnership to deliver Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) degrees in Vietnam. The Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho teaching locations allow students access to studying an Australian degree in their home country with the option of either completing the full degree in Vietnam or transferring to Hawthorn at a later stage.

2. Is there a difference in course content between Swinburne Vietnam and Swinburne University of Technology (Australia)?

No. The course content is created by the academics in Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and delivered by Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) approved academics in Vietnam. The content and assignments you are undertaking are the same as students studying at the Hawthorn campus.

3. When can I transfer to Swinburne University of Technology (Australia)?

You may transfer at any point during your degree subject to visa and border requirements. All units that you have successfully completed will automatically be credited to your degree in Australia. Please note that should you decide to change your course or major, there is a possibility that your course duration might be extended. Your final course duration will be noted in your offer letter.

4. Does Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) grant scholarships to international students?

All full-time international students are automatically assessed for scholarships when you apply. The Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) international student scholarships are granted based on merit. 5. Can I complete my bachelor degree in Vietnam but attend the graduation ceremony in Australia?

Yes. All students undertaking the Swinburne Vietnam bachelor degree can apply to graduate in Australia. Graduation ceremonies are held twice a year (around March and December).

6. When I complete my bachelor degree in Swinburne Vietnam will I be receiving the same completion certificate as students who complete their degree in Swinburne University of Technology (Australia)?

Yes. When students complete their Swinburne Vietnam bachelor degrees (regardless of location), all results will be reviewed by Swinburne University of Technology (Australia). Once this has been finalised, the certificate will be produced by Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) and sent to Swinburne Vietnam to be given to students intending to attend the graduation celebration in Vietnam.
