For reference, the tuition fee schedule at Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) can be found HERE.

Note: Tuition fees may be subject to yearly changes due to economic fluctuations, capped at a maximum increase of 10%. Any modifications to tuition fees will be promptly announced and updated.

Swinburne Vietnam does not charge any additional fixed student service fee outside of tuition. Tuition fees cover basic student services applicable to all students. Contributions to student activities are on a per-program and per-individual basis, ensuring fairness and minimizing costs for each student while participating in learning and extracurricular activities.

4. Tuition-Related Policies

4.1 Scholarship and Merit-Based Incentive Policy:

  • Talent scholarships and incentives: Depending on the program, eligible students may be awarded scholarships. If a student qualifies for multiple scholarships or incentives, only the best single scholarship or incentive will be granted.
  • Scholarships will last for the entire duration of the Major program. Scholarship levels may be reviewed if a student fails to achieve a ‘pass’ in courses from the previous semester or violates university regulations, such as late tuition payment, insufficient attendance, or deferring study for more than two semesters.

4.2 Advance Payment, Tuition Deferment, and Tuition Refund Policy:

  • Students who withdraw before the start date of a course or semester (as specified in the official notice) will receive an 80% refund of the tuition actually paid, after deducting any copyright fees (if applicable).
  • Students who withdraw within 2 weeks from the course or semester start date (within 1 week for the Global Citizenship Education Program) will receive a 50% refund of the tuition actually paid, after deducting any copyright fees (if applicable).
  • Students who withdraw after 2 weeks from the start date (after 1 week for the Global Citizenship Education Program) will not be entitled to any refund.
  • Students who have paid tuition and request deferment (approved) will have the paid tuition carried forward and applied to future tuition upon returning to study. Deferment requests made after 2 weeks from the semester start date (after 1 week for the Global Citizenship Education Program) will not be accepted, and tuition already paid will not be refunded; this will be treated as a Leave of Absence.
  • Students who are allowed to overload courses beyond the standard curriculum do not need to pay additional tuition immediately; they will continue following the original semester tuition schedule. If a student withdraws, any tuition due for the overloaded courses will be collected.
  • Students who enroll in fewer courses than the standard curriculum will not receive a refund for the semester tuition in case of withdrawal (drop out).
  • Students taking additional credits beyond the standard pathway must pay tuition for the extra credits at the per-course rate of 17,110,000 VND/course.
  • Any excess tuition paid will be credited toward the next semester’s tuition.
  • Students who withdraw and transfer to Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) must continue paying tuition according to the international student tuition fees at Swinburne University of Technology (Australia).
  • Students experiencing financial difficulties may submit a tuition extension request. The request must be approved and submitted at least 10 days before the start of the semester.

5. Tuition and Fee Payment Deadlines

  • Students are responsible for paying tuition at least 5 working days before the start of the course or semester. For tuition extension requests, applications must be submitted 10 working days before the start of the semester.
  • Any other fees incurred must be paid immediately upon arising.
  • Students who fail to fulfill tuition or other fee obligations on time will be considered as having voluntarily withdrawn.
