Career Day 2023

On 21 July 2023, Swinburne Vietnam organised Career Day 2023, highlighting the importance of navigating the transition from university to industry.

Career Day is a fair organised to support students preparing to enter their internship period as well as all students who want to develop a relationship with potential business partners and grasp career opportunities—short and long-term in their field of study. The event provides students with a one-stop place to meet recruiters from 15 well-known companies, thus expanding the professional networks with them and getting inside information on hiring and selection processes.

Besides, there were four panel discussions acknowledging students about current movements in the industries of ICT, Media, Business and about important experiences of the internship semester. Notably, students who had prepared their CVs/Portfolios received practical advice to strengthen their profiles and got interviews with employers.

This event has raised students’ awareness on SDG 8, especially target 8.3. It had a significant contribution to promote support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, including through access to employment services.
