NASA Space Apps Challenge
The NASA International Space Apps Challenge (Space Apps) was a one-of-a-kind opportunity that we organised for Swinners to work in collaboration with people from different cultures, backgrounds and countries. Participants would encounter new perspectives while tackling the challenges and working towards an inclusive, equitable and sustainable future. Ultimately, the Space Apps was an international hackathon that brings together a global network of innovators to generate solutions to pressing local and global issues on Earth and in space.
This challenge definitely supported Sustainable Development Goal 11: to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. Participants could build projects to address ways to reduce the risk of disasters, improve urban transportation systems, provide access to clean energy resources, or even promote environmental sustainability. The SDG11 challenge invited creative thinkers from around the world to collaborate on innovative projects that can have lasting impact on our future.
